You are that special kind of stupid. The samsung galaxy s3 has resolution of 1,280 x 720 pixels and the iphone 5 has a resolution of 1136×640.

You're that REALLY special kind of stupid where you don't realize that we're talking about pixel density, and the fact that IPS displays are pretty much king in terms of quality right now.

The iPhone pixel density is 20 higher than that of the Galaxy s3 , I'd rather take a screen that is almost 2 inches larger and lose 20 pixel density, the difference between 306 and 326 isn't really noticeable but the difference between 5.5 inches and 4 inches is massive. So shut up and stop talking before you further embarrass yourself.

The retina display has a more realistic and larger variety of colors where as the OLED screen on the galaxy phones have the color saturation set too high. They display cool colors well but warmer colors don't look as natural and if you put the screens side by side 9 times out of 10 the retina display will win in the field of quality.

It's not just about pixel density, it's about quality. Viewing angle, color reproduction etc. all play into this. And I really cannot handle fucking 5.5 inches, a lot of people can't. Just because it's smaller doesn't mean it's a worse display. I'm not being an Apple fanboy here, the GS3 is too fucking large for me - and I have massive hands.

It must be pretty difficult finding a screen smaller than 4.7 inches
