Did you know that the reason Mars is so dry at the moment is because its mass is too low to confine all its atmospheric molecules in its orbit? Back a few billion years and Mars had flowing water & air, but the solar wind managed to knock off each molecule from its atmosphere, lowering the pressure and making the water evaporate, leading to its current state. The only water that survived was the one already too frozen or too cold to evaporate.

Doesn't take into account that mars core can no longer sustain an electromagnetic field which makes it impossible to terraform. It's a dead planet.

There are a ton of theories that could possibly give Mars an artificial EM field, however the tech needed would likely mean we could get to a better planet in another solar system with regular ease, when it comes to space travel over great distance, that is. It's possible, but unlikely, and out of reach right now.

Some part of me wishes that our global continental map looked different.

Unless we learn to put brains into robots then there is no point in wishing to live on mars

I think it would be easier and less expensive to just build space stations and domed living areas on Mars rather than terraform the whole damn planet.

Said it once, and I'll say it again:

Sadly we'd prolly only get till the second picture and stop as people would say is is the "most profitable".

I'll be honest.

I think it looks kinda lame.
