To be totally honest, I'm not sure. I think because it's an island it doesn't count as part of Britain, but the Menai Straight isn't that big
......looking it up on Wikipedia it says "Anglesey is the largest Welsh island, the sixth largest surrounding Great Britain and the largest in the Irish Sea."
So if you go by that saying "surrounding Great Britain" then it's not part of GB......but still Wikipedia is a dubious source at best. :P

Yeah I know, Hebrides, Anglesea, Isle of White and the Channel Islands are part of the UK. But it's a pain in the arse to colour in those individual islands when it's on that scale, plus people might not notice they were coloured in for UK/GB.
You can probably also notice the Isle of Man which isn't part of the UK or GB is coloured in red too because it's linked to Scotland.
Like I said before, I didn't want the pics to become too detailed. Just short and sweet. If you need a more in depth coverage of Britain, The United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland, The British Isles and Britains Oversea Terretories, then a link has been provided a few times which is very good at explaining it all. www.youtube.com/watch?v=rNu8XDBSn10

Thats still wrong nigger, Great Britain is the island in which most of England, Scotland, and Wales are located in, but it does not include the islands that are part of England, Scotland or Wales. i.e. The Scottish Hebrides or the Island of the Clyde are not part of Great Britain, however your map depicts them as such
Yeah but it would have been a pain in the arse to just cut those off then fill them in for the particular circumstances. It's really to help with the Ireland and Northern Ireland confusion.
I mean the Isle of Man is also on there coloured in, even though it's independent.

I see your point. The best explanation on all the confusion regarding the British Isles, imo, is done by CGP Grey:

I was going to take ages and make a more detailed version with England, Scotland, Wales, Ireland, Great Britain, United Kingdom and British Isles maps.....but I didn't want my post to be "Now listen up children, this is a geography lesson."
Tried to make it short and sweet. :P
