The move is called double slap because the pokemon hits them once with each hand in rapid succesion 2-5 times in a row for a total of 4-10 hits. I hate to be that guy but I'll do it anyways because I secretly love being that guy.

Pikachu slaps him with his hands, then hits him with his tail when he turns around. There you have it.

Double slap goes

(Slap, Slap)
(Slap, Slap)
(Slap, Slap)

That's why they call it double slap.

In Black and White, there's a bug/steel Pokemon. It has a fire-type natural predator.

Its pokedex entry says it grew its metal coat to protect against its natural predator.

Possibly the metal coating increases its HP and DEF/SP. DEF so that it actually poses more chances of survival in many cases.

It doesn't really matter how high your defenses are. If your **** gets hit with a STAB with 4x type bonus over your opponent, you're pretty much ******.

Getting away from type advantages, you would use some type of metal for fireproofing
