It was like that for Marine Corps boot camp. But that makes sense since people can get deployed only 2 months after its over.

Actually, in Sweden the age of consent is 15. BUT, if the one who is underage agrees to have sex, it's not illegal as long as it's a reasonable age. Like for me, my girlfriend turns 15 soon and I just turned 18, technically I could fuck her now without getting arrested for it.

Not true, if you're stationed overseas (like Germany) you can drink at your base commander's consent. I'm 20, stationed in Germany and enjoy many fine Belgium and German beers.

Laws don't make thing impossible. Anyone under the drinking age can still, and does, drink if they want to.
