This may be the case with the things that make your less attractive, such as scars, but as far as maturity and physique, rusting is the key to shining.

With the introduction of firearms in japan, a samurai would prefer armor that had been tested to prove it was bulletproof.

Nope, started on the series rather late, and by that time i decided that reading them wasn't worth it untill i've finished the tv serie.

(spoilers after a clash of kings beware) I agree completely, Sandor is one of my role models. Think about, he is huge and a scary mother ******, but he only uses violence in response to violence in the books. He is one of the most faithful characters in the series, up until blackwater and than you have to question who he is faithful too, the kingsgaurd or Sansa, and even though he leaves Sansa in King's Landing, he defends her sister to the death. Sandor is one of the TRUE knights in series, along with Jorah, and Brienne.

Sandor is my second favorite person in ASOIF. And a better Knight than one else in series, except for maybe Ned or Robb
