Probably said before below me but meh.

the only time models use photoshop is during a shoot that does not affect a competition. Competitions are runway shows, which obviously cannot use photoshop. Athletes can't use steroids for competition. Completely different things.

If somebody wants to do the hundred meter in 3 seconds I say LET THEM, I wanna see them try to stop before the bendy bit! -Tommy Tiernan

Think about it, if steroids were legal for athletes the world would have thousands of superhuman athletic freaks, these people would run around and battle each-other on tv for our amusement. how very archaic
User avatar #86 - gmarrox (01/14/2013) [-]
You can work out and become stronger through physical training. Can't do much else but plastic surgery to manually make yourself more beautiful, so I'd think diet pills or something should be illegal instead for models.

Actually Israel have put some regulations on it to counter self image problems with young people.

I mean, there's no model hall of fame. In fact most people dont give a **** about models.
At least not the ones who get photoshopped. The only ones anyone gives a damn about are the IRL fashion models, and they aren't photoshopped IRL so...

By that logic, Microsoft Word should be illegal for writers/journalists.
User avatar #77 to #71 - goodguygary (01/14/2013) [-]
following that logic, spellcheck would be off limits. not word

I have no idea. I don't see why they would be. All they do is make you really buff. If you're not using them to cheat in a competition then whatever.

I'd personally use them. My dick is already small, might as well get really buff so if anyone laughs at me I can at least knock them the **** out.
#85 to #72 - Keoul (01/14/2013) [-]
Actually your dick will be fine.
Your balls however will be smaller than a grape, that and you'll develop a higher pitched voice. See you're not producing anymore testosterone (the thing that makes you manly) since you're ingesting a similar substance instead, thus your testosterone produces (balls) shrink from misuse.
Also it's not always gonna be "real" muscle, see pic.
User avatar #92 to #85 - lasmamoe (01/14/2013) [-]
And then people take testosterone to level out, which makes their bodies produce more estrogen to match up, which ends up with your body developing female characteristics like man tits.

This leads to people getting their man tits surgically removed and they end up with a ****** up body with a lot of muscle.

Dont take steroids.

Is that his fap hand?
User avatar #81 to #72 - lasmamoe (01/14/2013) [-]
They are incredibly unhealthy for your body.

Zyzz is a great example of why you shouldn't take steroids.
User avatar #80 to #72 - beatmasterz (01/14/2013) [-]
They don't make you buff, they produce hormones which stimulate you to get buff. It's not like it's a free pass for schwarzeneggerness.

>Implying modelling is a competition
>Implying companies making ads for their product is a competition that one company could get an unfair advantage over one another through photoshop
>Implying their is ANYBODY that isn't using photoshop

Any modelling that is a competition is done in person.

Besides the point is to make a good looking photo, the point of sports is to compete under a set of rules to see who is the most talented/athletic. It would be like saying using sugar in food is illegal... the end goal is to have good tasting food, so you use sugar because the only goal is to eat. A sport's goal is not just to have the fastest time running, the goal is to compete; if it were the former we would having races with people wearing jetpacks.
No matter how much I go on I can't seem to express the complete stupid of this post. It would be like saying a defibrillator in a hospital is cheating...

It would be kind of interesting to see what sports would be like if all pro athletes were required to take steroids
User avatar #61 - corundum (01/14/2013) [-]
Because modeling isn't a competition. It is the industry of making things pretty.
