i sometimes wish that they would create some patches for it, including several characters. i would love a miki storyline.
Finished the game for the first time today, having followed Hanako's storyline.
I'll be honest, I don't know how to feel now...

It's a feeling that will never go away.
You can expect a combination of depression and happiness for the week or two. But the most important thing is, if it sparked the urge to better your life - and by this I mean wanting to exercise/ run then strike the iron while it's hot and do it. A lot of people have done this and there is no wrong reason to want to do these things.
Also read this pic, it might explain some of the feels.

Oh, fuck, the emotions!
What the hell has this game done to me? I was happy before this, why am I feeling all these things!? All I want to do is forget about the whole ordeal and go back to how I was.
No, scratch that, I don't want to forget about Hanako and Lilly and Rin and Emi (couldn't frankly give a bear's arse about Misha and Shizune, they're frankly nosey bitches with little to no tact or sense of others' emotions (no offense to anyone who followed them)), but I don't want to be feeling the way I am now.

That's both comforting, and accompanied by the perfect image from the game. Well played.
Ok, I feel slightly better now, I'm gonna go lie down for a while; only been up for about six hours, but I'm pretty drained what with all the emotion and such. Many thanks for your help, friend; I don't have much to give you, so here's a friend request and a random and amusing .gif.
I'm feeling more normal already...

I REFUSE to play any of the bad endings, normally I'm a completionist but FUCK that, I'm too affected by rejection, even if it's fake. And with Lilly, I have abandonment issues, and something tells me she'll leave in the bad ending, so nooo, none of that.
Lilly gave me many feely feels of feels... I had tears running down when she left but ...
SPOILER ALERT~~~
When she came back I started tearing up joy. I want it to continue forever.. I cant bear not talking to Lilly anymore even though the story ended. Maybe thats just me. Too attached to let go..

How is she speaking to her? I thought she was deaf and only able to be communicated with via sign lang- Ohhhhh.
I just looked at the folder on my desktop, I've had this downloaded and ready to install since January 13th, 2012. I got it because I'd followed it since it's inception as what many thought was an intricate joke, and I just never got around to playing it. The last few months have felt like someone walked into my backyard and found a chest of gold coins sticking out of the grounds, watching all of you fawn over it. I'll play it eventually, just gotta finish up Corpse Princess, which is also a VN like Katawa, just a lot darker and more game-y. Ah fuck, the sequel to that comes out next week...
Guess It'll be on my desktop til I either get the desire to play it or get super baked and decide to actually use my expensive gaming laptop for something other than funnyjunk and porn.

Almost forgot - The art style while you're playing the "game" portions of it, are super retro. It's an intense game and quite the experience. Finally getting a tiny good thing to happen in a world so fucking dark made the accomplishment feel that much greater, like when you finally beat <insert boss's name here> in dark souls.

First of all, a that was a mistype on my end, Corpse Princess is an anime series, Corpse Party* (The game I'm talking about) is about a group of japanese (obviously) kids staying after school for a sort of sendoff to one of the characters, and then the walls of reality come crashing down while the all the characters basically either go insane, kill themselves, or die. It's fucking hardcore, it's got a lot more "game" to it than the average VN, but still like the average VN in that most of the shit that matters comes from the decisions you make based on what is said. I'll paint ya a picture of one of my favorite parts.
You and a friend are tasked with searching for something, (bear in mind this is without all the amazing atmosphere and awesome writing lol) and you literally don't have enough time to look everywhere before you hear a strange sound, you run into the bathroom where you heard it, to find your friend hanging from the cieling. You need 3 things - One, to get a bucket to stand on, which is filled with viscera when you find it, making you vomit, two, find the scissors, and three, do all this in pretty much exactly as much time as you have. If you're too late, she dies, and you start hearing this wierd, ghostly chanting, and you (as in, the girl you're playing as), starts smiling, and gets the urge to swallow the scissors. She starts stabbing her throat over and over through the mouth, the worst part of it all is the sound the scissors make when they hit your teeth. It's fucking haunting.
It's not all so grim, but I will say, do not expect the happy ending the first time. Or second. Or third. This game has so many endings it's ridiculous.

TBH i was hesitant to play VN's on psp because i figured a standardized system wouldn't allow the typical tropes (hyperviolence, overanalyzing, and other mature elements), but trust me, these games don't hold anything back.

Sad story for ya if you don't have a psp... it's on psp/psvita.
good story for ya if you don't have a psp... they cost about 40-60 bucks. I actually re-bought a psp solely for this game after trying it out at a friends. Plus if you don't then that opens up a world of tons of VN games that are only on psp, like Hakuoki, a much more standard VN set during the age of samurai, it's about vampires. It's one part romance, one part horror, one part action. Not to mention a bunch of other really stellar VN's on the system.

"It was followed by two remakes: Corpse Party: Blood Covered, which was released for the Microsoft Windows on March 8, 2008; and Corpse Party: Blood Covered Repeated Fear, which was released for the PlayStation Portable on August 12, 2010, and iOS on February 9, 2012."
the internet says there is a windows version of this game.

Yeah, but Blood Covered wasn't as good as Repeated Fear, because RF, which was really just an "HD Remake" of sorts, which is funny because Blood Covered was already a remake of the original. Book of Shadows was the second game, and a new one is coming out in the coming weeks. Basically, just saying that its the system you want to play it on, because it's the only system that has all 3 games in the series. Sure you can play the original on pc, but then you're gonna be out in the cold for the rest of the series.
I'm fairly certain it was only released as digital download on psp in america. I'd wager a import copy would cost an arm and a leg, so do expect a markup, I'd guess it's still 19.99, but they say you get what you pay for. Corpse party is an incredibly long game for a visual novel, and it uses a strange yet awesome chapter select system to make replaying certain parts easier, and you have an overall profile you save to so it makes the game easy to play. And like I said before, you'd be hard-pressed to find another visual novel like it.
I've put over 40 hours into the game and only have about half the good endings. That's about 50 cents an hour, and when i was little I'd pump 20 bucks an hour into arcade cabinets. I feel like I've become spoiled in these enlightened times.

Yup, but like I said before, I re-bought a psp solely for the VN's on it, and i got it used from amazon for 40 bucks. Pretty good investment, especially if you don't have a psp already, because shit, Valkyria Chronicles, persona 3 portable, peace walker, and about 10 other must-play game. Of course, that requires money, and not everyone is an adult with a full-time job. Sometimes I forget that on the internet.
Does this actually happen? I haven't gotten very far in it yet?
