this is the absolute complete truth!!!!!
The reason a lot of Asians have completely expressionless faces, segregate from everybody else-only associate with Asians and don’t associate with non Asians that much, are very untalkative, and are very unfriendly in general is to avoid accidentally revealing that they can read minds by accidentally showing a facial expression or dirty look when someone thinks, or visually pictures something in their mind they don’t like, find astonishing, or funny etc because those people might see that and really wonder what that was that just happened there and see the connection, and they might accidentally say something similar to what the person was just thinking and going to say. If they all associated with non Asians a lot more then there would be a lot more people around for them to accidentally show facial expressions when those people think things they don’t like etc, so they segregate and only associate with Asians so there won’t be anyone around for them to see that and have any accidents happen in the first place.
Try thinking, best yet visually picturing in your mind something absolutely wild as you possibly can when you are around Asians, and try looking for Asians who give people particular looks, especially dirty looks for what appears to be for completely no reason.

But, much like Scandinavian countries, the tax rates are considerably higher than that of America. As for what having the highest degree of freedom means, I'm not sure that's a measurable quantity. It just really comes down to what you value. Personally I like American economic freedom, but if I'd like to live a comfortable but possibly less exuberant lifestyle- then New Zealand would be a great place to live. That's why I think it unwise to base national policy on that of radically different nations, there are many ways to make a country work in different ways. While some are undeniably bad, others live in a (rather pristine) gray area where certain things become interchangeable without reducing quality of living.

thewildcat (01/11/2013) [-] It was a study done by Canadians and Germans. I don't know what they consider actual freedom. The factors could be biased, like the freedom to own a gun might not count. Other things like "free" health care could also be a factor. They never actually say what they base "freedoms" on.

Yes, we need big background checks and things to able to buy a gun. But the upside of that is we can go anywhere in this country and not be frisked or x-rayed. When we turn up at other coutries borders they usually just wave us in. We dont even have armed cops becuase guns are so rare here. so when im on a drunken bender it is unlikely ill be shot. Ill be embarrassed though.
btw, we have had a few mass killings related to guns here. We made a good movie about it "out of the blue". You should watch it, true story.

Personally I understand that here in the US where guns are legal it makes sense to carry a gun. But less than 1% of Americans are ever in a fire fight, and 77% of gun related killings are by gangsters and other criminals.
In a drunken bender you'll get shot? I don't see many of those happening here in the US, and mostly a fight will break out. But unlike the Nords the US isn't completely covered in snow and most of our country is built for the car. There are strict drunk driving laws depending on the state that you're in, but that in of itself can be criminal.
Mass shootings are going to happen, but my point was whether or not they declare the right to bear arms a liberty. It's considered a right here in the US, and I think that had it been put into effect in this study than the US would be up there with Australia and New Zealand

i guess if it was considered a right it may have helped. I doubt the study was so simply as to say "Do they allows guns, Do they allow drink driving".
What I was saying is, the fact that you have guns may possibly be a reason why you suffer a more overbearing authority figure. Its the authorities job to make sure you look after each other and when anyone may have a gun it becomes much harder.
By authorities i mean the police you pay, the leaders you elect and security guards you hire etc.
Our police have battens, tazers and pepper spray. Rambo knives are illigal in public (and just generaly stupid). Its rare for a cop to get killed and the public killed by a cop.

New Zealand does not have a booming economy where in Sam's hell did you hear that? There are no jobs here which is why all our graduates are moving to Australia along with plane loads of other New Zealanders for a better life over the ditch, freedom lol there's so much racial tension here it's unbelievable, yes we have beautiful scenery but our roads are the worst out of any developed country, the majority of housing is below world standards, utilities/food/accomadation are ridiculously expensive which goes well with the poor pay across the board for all jobs, the 100% green image is a farce and our fishing is very overrated.
