'Murica.
Western Europe.
Other civilized nations.

The Motherland/China.

Yes, the freedom index that is composed of 76 distinct variables including measures of safety and security, freedom of movement, and relationship freedoms such as assembly or legal discrimination against gays and such.

NZ rated #1 followed by Netherlands and Hong Kong, Australia, Canada and Ireland. US ranked 7th

>>including measures of safety and security

So.. Government making laws preventing you from doing things makes you more free? Not being a dick, just asking.

One might argue that having, for example, rules stopping you from being murdered allows you to do more things.

I'm a proud American, but this is definitely true. Our 'freedom' is not what it should be. I don't support anarchy by any means, but homosexuals, certain religious groups, and races are still persecuted and treated unfairly without justification. I think that our social liberties should be much greater than what they currently are; nobody can help what race, economic status, or sexual orientation they are born into.

tl;dr - I was born and raised in America and love my country, but we still have progress that needs to be made before we are truly equal.

Take a look at the NDAA and you will see why China is more free than we are.

Wow, I'm here in New Zealand and didn't even know. I guess that's another thing to add the list of highest rate of marijuana users and highest rate of drinkers in the world haha and everyone thinks Australia is better lol yeah right.
