in my opinion society underestimates most kids, I'm pretty sure they can learn much faster, and I think that if we set a solid base for algebra and calculus, even if it's basic, they would have it much easier in high school and university, after all I can't imagine a more complicated task than learning how to use your body and learning how to understand and speak a language without having ANY previous knowledge, and all babies are capable of doing that.

and you might say "what about people who want to study philosophy or art?", well apart from telling you they'd better start training to work in McDonald's, I should remind them that in history, many important people have been philosophers and scientists at the same time, and even artists, like da Vinci.

Uhh, well, what the hell did you expect? You need to understand all the basic stuff before you can move on to the more relevant, and often more complicated, side of things.
Besides, it's also pretty good for making friends and creating a network, which are important things to have throughout your entire life.

well, this makes me feel bad.. because i have none of these this.. thats what happens when you skip classes and hate school.
