Because there are no nocturnal creatures. Nothing that pays attention to time of day, or seasonal changes. Nothing that knows winter is coming or night time is almost over. Totally forgot that those animals don't exist.

Birds heading south for the winter isn't an example of timekeeping? Several animals keep track of the seasons and bust their asses rushing to do something in time, i.e. bears, squirrels and other hibernating mammals that work hard to stuff themselves before the cold. Just because they don't have physical clocks doesn't mean they aren't governed by time constraints.
It makes no sense to worry about things you have no control over because there's nothing you can do about them, and why worry about things you do control? The activity of worrying keeps you immobilized. - Wayne Dyer
Just made me think that even after all of humanity is gone ans the cold universe embraces the ash of our planet there will always be time, and so much of it , that our entire existence as species is nothing but a grain of sand, a speckle of dust in the frigid eternity.
see, this is exactly what I was talking about. how can you wish such little things like coffee or even care to want it when something as grandiose as the universe is upon you, as a reminder that your days will soon run out, as a human species' lifespan is just a blink in the span of something so much bigger.
theres no end of time aslong as there is someone or something to keep counting.
