Depends how you look at it
In Australia, mates are cunts and cunts are mates
User avatar #171 to #162 - fhonax (01/09/2013) [-]
Kinda the same here in the UK, I'll joke around calling my mates cunts but if some stupid bitch with 1 child in a massive 4x4 cuts me up, then she is also a cunt, in a different way lol

aye that's true enough, hah. whereabouts in the UK you from? I'm in Hastings, south coast

I actually quite liked the ending because it kept the story open. Allowing us to decide who Harima got with in the end haha. At least i like to think that. xD

Hmm.. if Harima actually did get with one of the many possible girls in the story, School Rumble would probably lose a lot of fans...

This is only all the clever people who don't try their best to excel at something and get a nice job. Stop feeling sorry for yourself
#110 to #85 - broorb (01/09/2013) [-]
Oh I don't. It's an interesting point though, don't you think? I mean, it's essential for a kid to be encouraged and told that they're clever and unique, but at some point you've gotta break out of that and realise that, just like your parents, you ain't perfect - but that it's okay, you're malleable. Many folk never realise that and the die having never really lived.

I didnt realize how dumb and unspecial I was until I was 26. After that I wasnt so mad when I only won like 1 out of every 20 games in Halo Multiplayer
#129 to #126 - broorb (01/09/2013) [-]
Hah, is that so? I still haven't realised, not really. I think sometimes it takes living on your own to realise, and it'll hit me pretty hard when it does.

SIT THE **** DOWN OP. IM GONNA GIVE YOU THE SECRET TO LIFE RIGHT HERE:

Many kids throughout the world, including the country you live on, have low self-esteem when it comes to this aspect. They think that they are not special nor unique and are damned to live an unoriginal life. Working jobs they hate to have a meager existence.
The thing is that many of the kids whom actually believed that they were clever, unique, special, etc.(e.g. the guy on the comic) fail to have successful lives basically because of their lack of faith. They are afraid to take the step that is gonna take them beyond their own limits. Maybe even some mental-walls that were built subconsciously of an experience they had (e.g. they saw a movie in which a man aimed at his dreams and failed.) or maybe because they actually dont believe they are unique in a subconscious level. What Im trying to tell you is that You are clever. You are unique. You are special. And you have the potential. But its not about who You are, its about who do you believe(consciously and subconsciously) you are.

TL;DR? subconscious mind is a bitch

Hmmmm

That's an interesting point, and I agree with you on a lot of it. Kids do need to be told that they're special.

I suppose the point I'm making is that it can be very, very useful to realise eventually that you're not, so that you can become special via effort should you choose to.

Many don't achieve this; they go through life believing they are different when in fact, they're no different to their neighbour whether they like it or not.

Granted, it's harder now than it ever has been.
But it's certainly still possible, and more rewarding
than a qualification. Especially since they're
starting to mean less and less to employers.

Because the I'm pretty sure I'm the SOLE man keeping the US Merchant Marine ships going in the Engine Room, I'm damn sure I'm not the only Oiler in the whole of the US?

465 Ship-That's for the MILITARY Support not counting the Civilian sector such as Maersk lines.

29,000-Deck Officers, Many of which hawse piped it and DID NOT go through college
12,000- Marine Engineers- Same as above
28,000- Unlicensed -where I fall-

And these are just for the US Sealift command.
