I know that in Saskatchewan we refer a hoodie or a sweater as a "Bunny Hug". I Moved to Alberta and people had no idea what the hell I was talking about.
We don't say pop or soda in England. We just refer to the drinks by name.

Amurica, the land of big, fat & stupid, nation.
According to a new study conducted by researchers at Michigan State University, only three percent of the 150,000 adults surveyed follow the four basic rules of healthy living. 1. don't smoke, 2. eat properly,3. exercise regularly and 4. maintain a healthy weight. Too many of our people are STUPID! Americans are just plain lazy. We have gotten fat, both figuratively and literally, and it's time to move on and spend our time and efforts on something worthwhile.

And in Ausstralia we call them Soft drinks, but more often, we call them by their fucking names, like Coca Cola or Fanta.
New York... my family calls it soda. Most people in the immediate area do so. But other people when I was in school would occasionally say pop.
My Uncle's family lives about 2 hours south of me, and they call it pop, there.
I think, in perspective, people who call it "soda" drink it more regularly. Where as people who call it "pop" get it more often as a treat.
People who call it "coke" are just weird. (kidding)
