Reporters (especially white ones) have to be incredibly careful not to cause offence in anyway or they could lose their job and all credibility and effectively ruin their whole career and life. I wouldn't want to say it on air either, even though I believe no one should take offence to the word. Samuel L Jackson is intimidating the reporter into risking his career for no reason.

If you havent seen it, i HIGHLY recommend it.
It has a serious storyline, but a LOT of funny parts.

And then when the courts find out we called some black guy a nigger the assault charges would be dropped.
