mailboxhead (01/07/2013) [-] Journey was one of my big motivators to buy a ps3. It's pretty short though; you could play through it in about 3 hours if you knew what you were doing, but goddamn if it wasn't the best 3 hours of my gaming life. Best played online, of course.
And yeah, it is pretty stupid that it's a console exclusive. Sony doesn't exactly follow the same philosophies that, say, Valve does.

But jees, these kind of games are so attracting, just as beautiful as simple. Q.U.B.E., Limbo, Fly'n, Eufloia. They are the proov that video games can still be creativ and interesting without violence.

mailboxhead (01/07/2013) [-] My thoughts exactly. Journey itself is a superb example for the videogames-as-art argument. Trine and Trine 2 are astonishingly beautiful as well. I wonder sometimes why most games are so focused on violence now.
On a side note, I bought my PS3 from a friend for about half what it would cost new in stores. Came with 2 controllers and Killzone 3.
