We had plans of getting married, I thought he was the one, etc. After he confessed to having his dick sucked 7 months prior to a giant blowout we had, we broke up. I've been with a different guy for almost a year now, but the pain of my ex moving on never seems to fade, and the verbal abuse really took it's toll the first 4 months we were broken up. I'm never going back to him, but in all honesty, I miss him so much that it almost hurts.

She feels "crowded". I fucking hate hearing her say that, as in my mind, that's a spit to my fucking face. I love her so much, it makes me hate her. I wish things where back the way they were. I don't feel like I can be myself. I love her so much though, I don't want to push her away. She means too much. I have faith in her, but things won't be getting back to normal for awhile. While I've considered this as well from a scientific perspective, I still bear in mind that the "thunder/raining" metaphor is meant to strike a more sentimental thought process, to those who intake the lyrics in the proper way. HOWEVER I do realize that yes, the writer to the song could have come up with a better analogy to compliment the message as well as make a realistic real-world connection.
