My boyfriend and I went to all the Twilight movies for the sole reason of sitting in the front row and being all couple-y so the straight guys behind us that had gotten dragged to the theatre with their girlfriends felt even worse about it. We literally heard some of them go "See? I told you so!" to their girlfriends. Lawls were had.

1st movie - not awful... started miserably, and had awful development with Kristen... later it picked up once it became more slice of life. from that point i was shocked that i was legitimately enjoying the movie, and was eager to see the rest. I especially enjoyed the scene where Edward was showing Kristen around the house. The humor was there, and it wasn't too bitchy whinny or corny (well maybe corny lol). Then the fight scene came and that was awesome, super stupid and silly, and over the top with the burning of the other vamps, but all in all i liked it. Then it had that GOD AWFUL scene where edward sucks the venom out. then it ends eighties style with them dancing... so all in all... two and a half out of five.
2nd movie - the last one i watched. and it was awful... the whole way through. there was nothing good from that movie. it was awful... like Anakin Skywalker angst awful.
TL;DR - the first movie had some potential... but all in all was low par, and the second movie made me want to shove glass down my throat.

I honestly thought that it would pick up once Edward got laid but he somehow managed to turn into an even more obnoxious angsty teenager after that.
There was one part that I liked. In the fourth book Emit was teasing Edward and Bella about their sex life and comparing it to his own with Rosalie. That was actually a pretty funny moment especially when he described actually destroying an entire house. This moment was short lived 'cause Bella challenged him to an arm wrestle claiming that if she won he would have to stop making fun of them. He agreed and she creamed him.
It bummed me out.
Emit was my favorite character and he stopped talking after that.
