Cage turned down the role because he didn't want the three-year commitment that went with it. His replacement, Stuart Townsend, trained for two months before being fired because Jackson thought he looked too young. Russell Crowe was then offered the role, but turned it down. And Viggo Mortensen was originally hesitant to take the role, but finally accepted it because his son was a big fan of the books.

Wait, so if Nicholas Cage had accepted the role of Iron Man... Would that mean he'd be two different super heroes at the same time? That'd be a very interesting movie.

Viggo Mortensen wasn't even the first choice for Aragorn. He was a last minute replacement for Stuart Townsend, and he only took the role because his son loved LOTR. But by far, he was the best person for the role :)

Spider-Man's debatable. I guess technically it was not a bad movie, but that version of Green Goblin was just awful.

More like Good Guy Cage, those movies would have sucked with him in them. except if he was the Green Goblin.
