I HAVE THAT ************* LEGO BOAT. It was under my bed for so long it's covered in spider webs. Yeah I'm not going to touch it ever

ill take the legos if he doesn't want them

So? Style changes, everyone starts following different trends and liking different things. You can't live the generation forever, so stop complaining because you sound like elderly people who say "back in my day..."

My 4 year old nephew received countless amounts of toys for christmas including a giant cardboard spaceship to play in that I would've loved as a child. Instead he goes for the one wii game that my brother got him.

*shrugs*

Have none of you realized that we live in the digital age now? Its simply a change in the youth culture. Youre starting to sound like my grandparents, "back in my day!..."

i still have an urge to start building **** when i'm near legos
User avatar #104 - RequieminMortis (12/30/2012) [-]
I had Lego sets when I was twelve. I played with them. I still preferred the PS2 and GameBoy Color I had during that time.

I really fail to see the problem here.

The parent is building it.
User avatar #107 to #105 - RequieminMortis (12/30/2012) [-]
No, the parent is playing with the Legos while the kid plays with the iPad. The kid prefers the electronics to the Legos.

Again, what's the issue here?
User avatar #109 to #107 - HeBitch (12/30/2012) [-]
Because technology has ruined what it used to mean to be a kid, it's not that ******* hard to see.
User avatar #108 to #107 - generic (12/30/2012) [-]
From what I see the parent is building it and the child is sitting by while he does the work. I'd only assume this because it's the very same thing my cousin did and it always pissed the **** out of me.
User avatar #101 - javis (12/30/2012) [-]
And guess who's fault is that? The parents.

I ******* hate people with OP's mindset. Who gives a **** if the kid chooses a shiny electronic over some legos? That just means that he enjoys that more. There's nothing "broken" or "wrong" with him, you pretentious cunt.

**** yes
i hate it when people try to impose their subjective doctrine as absolute certainty of moral superiority

Umm so? I had a SNES when I was his age that Id rather played with, whats the ******* difference
User avatar #98 - roninpenguin (12/30/2012) [-]
Maybe he has had tons of legos but doesn't get to use the tablet very often so when he does it is a big deal to him.
User avatar #95 - demandsgayversion (12/30/2012) [-]
If I was a child, I'd rather have sophisticated technology than spiked plastic building blocks.

At first I was going to say something about how I was disapointted by the fact that this is the way things are, but then, looking through the comments, I realize that honestly, its not that bad.

I mean, times change. Different toys come out. We shouldn't be forcing the next generation to be into the same things we are
User avatar #93 - zonedguru (12/30/2012) [-]
Technology grows and people cry that children are adapting to it at a young age.
#92 - anonymous (12/30/2012) [-]
Children are smart. They choose advanced technology over smaller toys. It's a different generation and they like different things. Get over yourself prick.

"Back in my day we'd have full fledged open world 3rd person adventure games like vice city for our mobile phones, rather than this new holographic ******* hyper real grand theft auto life simulator !"
User avatar #86 - johnmassacre (12/30/2012) [-]

User avatar #90 to #86 - iwilic (12/30/2012) [-]

!!Oh my god! That kid isn't playing with legos?! HE SHOULD NOT BE PLAYING A GAME THAT'S PROBABLY WAY MORE ENTERTAINING AND MAYBE EVEN EDUCATIONAL! HOLY **** ! WHAT BAD PARENTS LET THEIR KIDS DO THIS?!
