Studies show the opposite.

I was spanked when I was bad when I was young. I turned out just fine.
I'm a lazy **** who sits at the computer all the time, but I'm not a wannabe gangbanger or drug abuser.

its about discipline not abuse

If discipline is used incorrectly, then yes it'll lead to children being worse, but a slap when they are bad. Tell them no when they start creaming for a toy in a super market, taking them out of a restaurant when loud, ect, it'll work. Most of the time, it's just a dumb child abuse scare, you can barely take an xbox away from a child without turning it into child abuse. A teacher can't even talk to a student one on one anymore because they're afraid everyone is a pedophile. Which turns to children not trusting or listening to teachers or adults. Which then turns to bosses, which then turns to the shown picture. Discipline is necessary if done correctly, you can't, not discipline your child, or else you'll have a spoiled brat who expects everything to be handed to them.

It's like the army, they teach discipline with an iron fist, not punishments. It's disciplined that makes you behave, more than fearing a punishment.

It can work, but a majority of the time it doesn't.

studies have shown that violence only decreases unwanted behavior in the presence of the one causing the violence (ie, you only act "good" in front of your parents, but act like a little **** when you know you won't get caught)

studies have actually shown physical discipline is bad for a childs physche. it triggers our pain reaction center which tells us to be afraid and to not go near them, while a childs brain is telling them to seek their parents for everything they need. this can potentially create a multitude of issues later in life. while discipline IS important, physical is not the way to do it, it does not teach right from wrong it only instills fear.

Studies have also shown that spanking your children up to the age of six is helpful for them to learn obedience. After that age is when they have a greater possibility of turning into a punk **** up.

Yes, and I'm "afraid" that if I **** up again my dad will beat the **** out of me. So I'd say it works. It really depends on how you beat the kid as my dad has explained, because my 2 brothers and I were beaten as punishment and we've all turned into rather responsible adults.

But because of this uncomfortable phenomena, your 'though' became very irritated that nobody understood him, and began cutting. Slowly at first, making it seem like a simple typing mistake. A missing u or g, gone off somewhere to masturbate to lamp porn. Meanwhile, your 'Every one is' has been shot by gangsters from the bottom of negatoria's keyboard, because he finds this comment offensive enough to retort, which in turn left the three words huddling together for protection from their cold, hard luck in life. Maybe, just maybe, one day they'll get to see their own children grow up in a safer world... But probably not, because anonymous refused to use any punctuation at all. No apostrophes, no commas, and the only period is seen ending the fragment of a sentence: "Evryones different tho." We must give him credit, however, because he is trying something new in this field of grammar... He is implementing a 'smiley face' as a period. At first this may seem semi-acceptable, but after about eight seconds of thought we all can agree that such use of colons and parentheses will only deduct from the main thought of the comment. Further more, although 'a lot' is an acceptable phase adjective, 'many' might be a more suitable replacement in the sentence, "Its ok alot of people arent...". I have decided to let the several common cases of spelling failure go, all one would have to do to find them would be to look for the red underlining.

I would like to end in saying that I am not a complete erudite when it comes to the English language, but I must commit to correcting and respecting its use. Thank you.
