******* really cunt? You are going to like whore after 20 children were slaughtered? God ******* damn it that pisses me off. She doesn't give a ****, just wants likes, and will use 20 dead kids to get them. That made me to angry to laugh.

Man, I dunno. I laugh at some pretty ****** up ****. My pictures folder is filled to the brim with 9/11 jokes and other various sick ****. But for me, this is too far. I mean, these were kids. I look at my 5 year old brother and think about what I would do if I were to lose him. I mean, I do see the humor in this, I just find it to be in very poor taste.

how the **** do you laugh at 9/11 and not this? In reality neither are funny, but that's one of the most hypocritical things I have ever heard. The fact that they're children, while sad, doesn't make it any worse than thousands of lives being lost.

because this is too soon, 9/11 was over 10 years ago. This will become funny eventually.

and people can laugh at this but anyone that says they dont feel for the kids and parents are just being edgy little teenagers.

May I ask what the difference is between a dead kid and a dead adult (except the size of the body of course...)?

Cause let's be honest - laughing at jokes about an attack that left 3000 people dead while claiming that laughing at an attack that killed 26 people is too far because they happened to be children is pretty stupid...

I do see your logic, but let me explain mine. The victims in 9/11 were nearly all adults that had their fair share of life. The Sandy Hook kids were all around 6 and had no chance to live their lives

I find these kind of attempts to value life in a sense to be rather questionable, but in the end it probably comes down to personal opinion and who am I to disrespect yours...

(also, 'stupid' was a bad choice of words of mine)

The difference is that these kids were totally innocent. When we reach adolescence we begin to become the people we are, make mistakes, do good and do bad. These kids wouldn't have known what was going on and did **** all wrong to deserve it. That's why a lot of people will see jokes about it as 'sick' or 'too far'.

I too laughed at the content, and I think grundo would've too, but because he has a little brother he imagined what it'd be like losing him. As he said, he has funny pictures of 9/11 eleven, perhaps he laughs at those because it doesn't have any personal touch. For eg.: I have a grandpa I really love, and if they were to shoot up an elderly home and make a joke about, I might laugh at it, but it would leave a sour taste in my mouth, because I'd imagine my own grandpa dead.

all jokes are at someones/somethings expense, keep up that way of thinking and in a matter of time laughing will be looked down upon and called disgraceful and evil

And what way of thinking would that be?
All I did was pointing out OPs ambiguous point of view, never said anything about myself or laughing about these jokes in general.

And for the record: I liked this post.

i know the internet is a **** up place but one thing i dont get is why FJ say that the baptist church is bad for showing in the funeral but saying jokes about the dead kids is ok? at least the baptist church have courage for expressing their ****** up way of thinking but im pretty sure people who laugh about the dead of the kids will never have the balls to tell it in front of their parents

I showed this to my parents, and even they found it a bit funny. Calm down, little girl, there's nothing wrong with laughing at a joke; no matter what it is about. It proves we're capable of moving on and accepting what has happened in some manner; it is not disrespectful to be capable of making jokes to make things less depressing.
I'll agree, it is a bit too early, perhaps, but it is not even related to "evil" or being disrespectful.

IDK, i just find these jokes to be of incredibly bad taste

InB4 "That's because you're American"

I'm Scottish, and i feel the same way now as i did back in the Norway shootings last year. It just makes feel... icky.

I don't know, man.

Can't say, what I do know is that no sane person would make those jokes where I live (NC) and think they wouldn't get their ass kicked. I've seen it happen for much less.

What does being capable of laughing at something have to do with a person being "sane" or not? Seriously. I laughed at this, I laughed at 9/11. Not to be disrespectful, not at all, but to make something depressing.. less so. It is not disrespectful to make jokes, it is a rather good habit in human nature; it's a way of moving on, in some manner.
It might be a bit early for making jokes about this particular case, but it is not evil, and has nothing to do with sanity. My parents even laughed a little bit at this, even though they did find it a bit distasteful, but it is perfectly normal to joke about things that happen. Laughing is a good thing. Has nothing to do with disrespecting the dead.

Being sane has to do with making a joke at a location that is likely to get your ass kicked. I wouldn't go a black panther rally and make jokes about *******.

People need to stop blaming sanity, or being evil, or whatever else the case is, just for making jokes about terrible events. Seriously. I laughed at this, I laughed at 9/11. Not to be disrespectful, not at all, but to make something depressing.. less so. It is not disrespectful to make jokes, it is a rather good habit in human nature; it's a way of moving on, in some manner.
