you grow wheat right in front of them?

thats like cooking bacon in front of someone then telling them they can only eat it to have sex
User avatar #31 to #27 - cubanwhiteman (12/14/2012) [-]
Tell me what's wrong with this, I seriously don't see it.

Sex and bacon?

One is the ultimate happiness a man can achieve, and the other is sex!
User avatar #30 to #27 - CrashingSea (12/14/2012) [-]
Actually, in the newest update, you can only breed pigs by using carrots.

User avatar #22 - shazmothree (12/14/2012) [-]
At last you don't go on a slaughtering spree like I do
User avatar #19 - ThatsSoFunnyHeHe (12/14/2012) [-]
I had something similar with wolves but one day they randomly disappeared.
It was terrible.

How the fuck do you grow Sugar Canes? Sand next to water?
#21 to #8 - iamphoenix (12/14/2012) [-]
Any ground as long as it's next to water. Reeds/sugar cane is hard to find but you get ridiculous returns.
User avatar #80 to #21 - TurdBurgler (12/16/2012) [-]
I saw somewhere that it grows faster on sand. And, it's not like wheat where it can be up to 4 spaces away from water. It has to be right next to it and can't be diagonal, either.
#81 to #80 - iamphoenix (12/16/2012) [-]
That's true. I don't know if it grows faster on sand because I've only ever grown it on dirt. You still end up getting 200% returns within a minecraft day or two.
User avatar #12 to #8 - krasnogvardiech (12/14/2012) [-]
Thanks, awesome people!
#10 to #8 - scodran (12/14/2012) [-]
you can use sand and dirt, as long as it is next to water
User avatar #9 to #8 - karvarausku (12/14/2012) [-]
yeah. I don't remember but I don't think it has to be sand.

--------= water
~~~~ = sugar canes..
How do you keep them from glitching over the fences? I always have to make a two-fence-tall border to prevent them from "stacking" on top of eachother.
User avatar #23 to #1 - TurdBurgler (12/14/2012) [-]
I always do the fence area...then put some glass panes on the fence, then on top of that, basically just make a roof. Then, so that the little shits don't escape when I'm going in to either make more or kill them off if I get too many, I have two gates. I hate chasing after the little fuckers if they escape, and really hate having to go find more if they do >.<
User avatar #24 to #23 - hypnotoadtrance (12/14/2012) [-]
Oh god, I hate it when one escapes and you spend the next half hour pushing it back in, only to have move sneak out when you try to put one back in.
THE HORROR!
User avatar #77 to #24 - TurdBurgler (12/16/2012) [-]
As long as you have wheat, it's not as bad. Oh wait...pigs needs carrots now...cows and sheep, wheat and seeds for chickens. But anyways, as long as you have that, it's not as bad...but if you don't then yeah, it's annoying as hell trying to push them back in there hah
User avatar #78 to #77 - hypnotoadtrance (12/16/2012) [-]
I haven't even played the new update that requires carrots. D:
User avatar #79 to #78 - TurdBurgler (12/16/2012) [-]
It took me forever to figure out why the pigs weren't following me...had to look it up, and you can only find them in damn villages. Good thing is, you can plant them once you do find them and you'll never run out.
#13 to #1 - nexdemise (12/14/2012) [-]
I kept chickens in a cylinder made out of glass with water on the bottom. So chickens just flop around swimming and eggs fall down and float off to a collection point.
It keeps the chickens from glitching from their pen and from dying from suffocation (since glass is translucent).
User avatar #14 to #13 - hypnotoadtrance (12/14/2012) [-]
That sounds like animal cruelty if it weren't Minecraft.
#15 to #14 - nexdemise (12/14/2012) [-]
I know lol, there had to be like 100 chickens in there. Just the fucking sound of all that, it will drive you mad. I had to break down 1 farm and move it away from my house where I couldn't hear it.
User avatar #17 to #15 - hypnotoadtrance (12/14/2012) [-]
And Nether Portals man....fuck that shit. Build those FAR from home.
User avatar #16 to #15 - hypnotoadtrance (12/14/2012) [-]
Oh god. I learned that lesson the hard way when I would build our farms beside our towns. The horrid concoction of cows, pigs, chickens, and sheep.....oh god never again.... D:
User avatar #2 to #1 - zerokelvin (12/14/2012) [-]
I've never seen them stack on top of each other. I only see them partially glitch through the fence, like what the cow is doing.
