In DC comics that's what they did on Krypton before it exploded. Each person had a few clones at a time and they used them for an organ harvest.

I would clone myself, then have my clone rob a bank.
If I was a suspect, I'd have a solid alibi.

If I was able to clone myself, I would totally do me

I dunno about you guys, but that would be hot

This is flawed. When you clone something it has to grow up. it wouldn't be born at the age of 50 (or what ever the scientist ages are).

Well then we could have tons of baby fights.

What if it's a different type of cloning, and you can just walk into the machine then your clone self is all like "Sup, I'm you but different"?
User avatar #12 to #3 - galacticboner (12/13/2012) [-]
Actually, they're born as babies (of course), but if the cloned individual is 50 when he is cloned, then the baby will be born with 50 year old cells.

....no, not really. 50 year old DNA (the first strands, but that is split and replicated so even that isn't true for long)

Who says they didn't make two genetically similar kids in two different women and letting the grow up?
User avatar #8 to #5 - samuraicrack (12/13/2012) [-]
Because they look exactly the same age as the originals.
#9 to #8 - adamks (12/13/2012) [-]
The exact same genes?

They would still have faults with their environmental factors, diet, exercise, and things like scars would all change the way the clones look.

Finally, somebody who gets it.
