There has literally never been a better motive for scientific research.

Clone perfectly healthy version of myself without a brain. Transplant brain. Heal
No longer disabled.
Use old body as research to aid better cloning, and disease prevention.
Fuck yeah.

Fuck yeah.
But after cloning is legal people will begin to support clones rights ;-; so no epic clone battles.
At first people would be all against it, but as techniques improve and everyone gets used to it over time, people will care less about them, like in The 6th Day (Arnie film).
On an unrelated note, do you know what the hell the original source for the asses is in that gif? Science... needs to know.

Do you not understand what a clone is?
Still a person, just happens they have an exact dna copy around.
Clones would age at normal speed, so the comic is impossible. And since only the DNA is cloned, the person would still develop based on external environment. The nature versus nurture argument applies greatly to this.
Not that I'm not saying clones wouldn't be awesome. We would be able to learn soo much from it.
Also, nice Jur-ass-ic park gif.

I do understand what a clone is. I also no that you cannot change DNA. However, you can "adjust" it, and coax it to develop in different ways. If enough research were put into it, you could easily clone a better version of yourself using the core stands of the DNA, and, over a series of refined and controlled exposures to chemicals, [years and years of research and data] you could even begin to replicate the very DNA itself.
DNA is very...sensitive. It reacts to some of the tiniest things. and it self destructs if you try to directly change it. Which blows my mind. But unlocking it's secrets would be so much fun.
Also, glad you like the gif <3

If I could get my hands on cloning technology, New Zealanders sheep would rule the world.
And i would be king of the sheeple.

MFW having a person who understands you, thinks just like you, gets drunk after the same number of shots, has the same sense of humour.
Brings to mind the "You walk into a room with an exact copy of yourself. You have an hour in the room, and an hour only. Fight or fuck? When the hour is up, the clone will be destroyed if both of you are alive, if you fight, the loser will obviously be dead. Nobody will ever know what you chose. Which do you pick?"
I would fight myself. It's the ultimate fight. Evenly matched in strength, evenly matched in skill, in willpower, everything. Same fighting styles too. It'd be interesting because you would have to fight in a way you wouldn't predict, and also fight dirty before they can.

I don't like the idea that a clone is any lesser than the original. Plus I wouldn't see any benefit to it other than fucking myself, because I would think the exact same things that I would, and I wouldn't be willing to do anything I didn't want to, even if trading off the bad things.
