"Those who matters don't mind" That is stupid. There are caring loving parents who hate the fact that their child is gay.

Then if they can not keep it to themselves, they clearly do not matter.
User avatar #404 to #373 - notmutzaki (12/13/2012) [-]
They're clearly not as caring or as loving as they should be if they hate that their child isn't straight. Because if they love their child, their sexuality shouldn't matter in any way.
#427 to #404 - anonymous (12/13/2012) [-]
That's not saying they hate their kid, just that they hate the fact they're gay. My grandfather doesn't like the fact my uncle's gay but he doesn't bring it up to him or get on his case because he loves him. It's unfair to ask people to not dislike the fact their kid is gay, however if they love their child they'll either get over it or just choose to ignore it. What I'm trying to say is it's fine to hate the fact they're gay (for whatever reason, I would prefer my kids to be straight if for no other reason than they wouldn't be ridiculed simply for trying to be happy) as long as you don't let it affect how you feel about your kid, there are things parents hate about their children but they love them in spite of that, it's what loving someone is, you can't always just accept everything about them, you just have to learn how to deal with it.
User avatar #436 to #427 - notmutzaki (12/13/2012) [-]
Then again, if a parent of mine was homophobic, no matter my sexuality, I'd be disappointed in them and would like them less.
#377 to #373 - hammeria (12/13/2012) [-]
Yes, but they love them so they accept it.
User avatar #383 to #377 - subaqueousreach ONLINE (12/13/2012) [-]
A lot of homosexual people are kicked out of their homes when their parents find out. It's kind of sad really.

Some parents have even beaten their kids to death because they just can't accept it. (happens a lot more in the Middle East than in North America though)
User avatar #391 to #383 - exclamation (12/13/2012) [-]
If my kid turns out homosexual, that is all peachy-keen.

In other terms, I will not give a ****
#386 to #383 - hammeria (12/13/2012) [-]
yep. But that means they never loved them enough, if what other people will say and their own beliefs and close mindness is stronger than their love. too bad the kids suffer.

I think genetics, I mean bats or penguins dont think of stuff like that, yet there is homosexuality among them ( and all other animals, duh)
User avatar #394 to #384 - Kekuchi (12/13/2012) [-]
You know what would be interesting? If research could have tagged those same animals that experienced homosexual relations and followed them around to see if they were strictly interested in the same sex, that would be something wouldn't it?
#396 to #394 - hammeria (12/13/2012) [-]
yeah, but look - penguins find only one mate for their whole lifetime. they tend to choose males. So do elephants, there are many animals with only one mate.
User avatar #400 to #396 - Kekuchi (12/13/2012) [-]
That's pretty interesting. I should research to see if they maintained a life-long homosexual relationship. That would be enlightening.

If it was a choice every ******* bloke would be gay. Proposition do you:
A) Spend loads of money courting a girl into liking you, get married and have kids. The arguments, the family, the menstrual cycle.
B) Hang with your bestfriend all day and get blowjobs.

its not genetic, obviously a gay gene wouldn't get passed down

it's just who you are, everyone has a low probability of being gay when they are born if you consider how their instinctual urges are embedded when they develop in the womb. low probability means a small percent of people will, in fact, be born gay.

so it's really just an unlikely, yet completely natural occurence

no, what i'm saying is that through a long period of evolution homosexuality cannot be genetic

you would have blue eyes since somebody in your genetic history had blue eyes.

nobody in anyone's direct genetic history was ever fully homosexual, or their genes wouldn't pass down to the recipient

that particular factor would not pass down since homosexuals do not reproduce (if they did, they would not be homosexual) therefor the "gay gene" would be eliminated evolutionarily.

those who do not reproduce do not provide genetic influence for further generations

im saying its just a random selection of your biological makeup, and you have a much higher chance of being stright. that doesnt make homosexuality wrong, it just makes it less likely.

it's natural and random

that doesn't do these things:
1. make any sense
2. prove that homosexualty can be passed down geneticallly
3. hold any relevance to the evolutionary concepts that i had previously mentioned

no i'm saying that since homosexuals do not reproduce, a gay gene could not survivce in evolution

think about it:
lets just say hypothetically that blue eyed people are no longer able to reproduce (just like homosexuals cannot reproduce)
if everyone who had blue eyes suddenly stopped reproducing, after a while, we would see a decline in the number of people with blue eyes

sure some of the people who held the recessive blue eye gene would get blue eyes, BUT according to the condition that they cannot reproduce, we would eventually (over a period of centuries) see a decline in the number of blue eyued people until none of them exist.

Oh now i see what you are getting at, (wish you would have clarified, would have saved a lot of time)

if you're trying to get at a hormonal inbalance, where the boy inherits gay and feminine attitude and personality, that would be a hormonal inbalance rather than a genetic impulse

genes dont just go do whatever they **** well please.

if you consider that gene, it sounds like it would really kick ass evolutionarily
AND THAT'S THE PROBLEM
if that gene were to exist, it would ******* dominate the evolutionary tree, all the bitches would be fertile since all the fertile ones would survive and all the non fertile ones would die out.

then that gene would be everywhere, EVERYWHERE

and then there would be homosexuals EVERYWHERE

but there AREN'T

so the gene doesn't EXIST

The way I see it(or at least as it has been my experience), attraction to the same sex is the same exact thing as attraction to the opposite. There really is no difference. You have no real control over how it works, you just happen to find some people attractive and some people not.

You ever have a crush on someone(or maybe that's too strong a word, maybe you just thought they were kinda hot or something) but your friends thought you were crazy for thinking as such, telling you that they thought that person was ugly? Or maybe vice versa? It's the same deal. You have no real control over it, it just happens.

The way I like to describe pansexuality is: bisexuality is when you like males and females, with pansexuality you like males, females, and everything in between. Basically I'm Capt. Jack Harkness is what I'm saying. XP
