i've tried this a while back, make sure the chocolate is thick enough before you pop the balloon if you dont want to pick up pieces of the chocolate for the next half hour
Ive been making these since I was a kid. Fuckin Love these, hard to eat without all the chocolate getting on your hands...

Oh that's just wonderful. Unless you live in fucking Siberia, are cold blooded, or can eat ice-cream at the speed of sound, you'll have a sticky mess all over your hands in about sixty seconds.
They're a bitch to make, if the chocolate is too hot the balloon pops and chocolate goes everywhere.
Maybe heat up the balloons in the oven bewofe dipping them, then there wont be such a hot shock that is probably the caule of them popping. Just turn the oven to its lowest setting and leave to door open so that it doesnt get too hot (try for around 150)
This also works to evaporate water from electronics that went swimming.

Or cover the balloon in chocolate. Someone bites into it and gets a mini heart attack.

Do not want. The chocolate layer is too thin to the point where it would just start melting as soon as you touch it.
