Yeah, pokemon didn't require you to use any strategy aside from 'equip only the strongest moves'. Strategy could come in handy if you're playing competitvely against other people though.

One of my favorite (and most simplistic) was my ninetails who knew attract, confuse ray, sand attack. Attract only worked if I was facing a male pokemon(which I did the majority of the time) combined with confuse ray, it was doubly effective. Depending on the strength of the pokemon, I would either sand the shit out of it or just attack it to death.

My favorite strategy: team of level 1 Kangaskhans (with scrappy ability), focus sashes, Endeavor, and Sucker Punch.

Taking down teams of lv100 pokemans like a boss.

sounds like a good one for rendering the pokemon completely ineffective, but a pretty slow grind to actually take it down.

Unless it had a resistant element, no.

pretty much the only non-attack move i would ever use was Sword Dance with an Absol or Zangoose. Those things were fucking insanely powerful.
