I'd use it more as a guide book on how to live the rest of my life and follow it through to the end.

Actually no. I like the thrill of not knowing how am I going to die. I just enjoy what's before that..

Glue in pages where I get laid

This would just become a self-fulfilling prophecy. What if I open the book and read that I don't get into grad school, so I give up, stop trying, and then don't get into grad school. If I had never read the book, maybe I would have actually gotten in because I wouldn't have given up.

but then there's those people who disregard it and continue trying

you fools!
If you read to the end, then it's fixed. so long as you don't know, you can still change it.

I'd hide it somewhere so no one knows how much I touch myself.

No, i wouldn't want to read a book where every other page is about me masturbating.

It would be about a guy who sits on the pc all day. Boring...

If I would read, would the book change, or does it say that I read it?
User avatar #262 to #255 - anthonyh (11/28/2012) [-]
No, because the book already knows if you're going to read it or not. Even if you start reading it and change your mind, that's what you were supposed to do all along.

I think you would just be too fascinated by the book to do anything else. So it would only say "he thought of the book, he read the book" and **** like that, till I was going to die.
User avatar #254 - bananarchy (11/28/2012) [-]
I'd just read the few last pages or so.

It'd be cool if it could tell you everything you were gonna do. Also, if there was a more mobile thing like a phone that could do it. And people can change your future. And multiple people have them. It'd make an awesome show if they could fight to the death with that, I wonder why no one has thought of that.

Is the fact that the guy who gives it to you starts "booking it" an intentional pun or just a happy coincidence? Either way it threw me off for a second.

Yes, I would know what was going to happen and amaze people, find out when I was going to die, find out the winning lottery ticket numbers and win every time, know who my true friends are, know what job I'll have and just do it from the beginning, know if anything is a bad choice, etc.
