well you could skip ahead in the book to the next time the lottery is on and get the numbers. The same could also be done for exams, etc. finish it off by predicting the future of certain events and become a world famous psychic.

Some people downthere say that reading the book will fix the future and you won't be able to change it. That's the paradox. Your future is both defined and vague, fixed and mysterious. Regardless of you open the book or not. Because by taking action of opening the book you will get some information, which will change your future (since you will be able to plan your actions wisely, according to the book), now that you've changed your future, it will be refreshed in the book, forcing you to reorganize your actions again. And so it goes.
Another option is: the book won't refresh. Then, theoretically, it is already known whether you going to open it or not (since it knows you future). If you will decide not to open it, there will be your whole life, described. And if you decide to open it.. It will lie to you. Because the future is changed once the observation is done and new experience achived.
