My school gets out for winter break on the 21st. Is it bad that I'm more concerned about not getting winter break than the world ending?

The Mayan calender did not predict a 2012 doomsday, guys. It was none other than the Mesopotamians who discovered "Nibiru"; and the internet is associating it with the end of the Mayan calendar's 13th Baktun cycle.

Of course, there are other doomsday predictions, but they're mostly bull.

I seem to have not even known about one of them, could someone explain the Millennium bug?

Even if this is supposed to happen, apparently the Myans didn't count the leap year so... The world should've ended in May. Just something I read.

If the Mayan's were smart enough to predict the "End of the world" then how come they couldn't predict there own extinction?

SPOILER ALERT!!! The Mayans did not use daylight savings time like we do, so if their prediction came true it would have already happened and we would all be dead. I know, it's kind of a buzzkill, but just be happy that you're still alive.

In the mayan view on the universe there is no such thing as an apocalypse. It's just their calender that is to expire.
Like the time calculation on UNIX systems. They will stop someday.
But no one will care.

Just some info. The Mayan calendar did not account for leap years so we should have died long ago.

Hmm, I don't think Mayans accounted for the leap years... By their calendar world should have ended more than a few months ago.
