The mayans never said anything about the world coming to an end in 2012....

The Mayans didn't account for Leap years either so the world should have ended months or years ago.

I heard they used the moon cycles, so leap years wouldn't have affected it anyways.

You do realize that that was already taken into account when the date was taken from the calender.

The Mayan calender did not predict a 2012 doomsday, guys. It was none other than the Mesopotamians who discovered "Nibiru"; and the internet is associating it with the end of the Mayan calendar's 13th Baktun cycle.

Of course, there are other doomsday predictions, but they're mostly bull.

Yeah, you were probably too young to remember that one. People made a big fuss saying that computers would be confused when their internal calendars rolled over from 1999 to 2000 and cause massive failures all over. Of course, nothing happened.

SPOILER ALERT!!! The Mayans did not use daylight savings time like we do, so if their prediction came true it would have already happened and we would all be dead. I know, it's kind of a buzzkill, but just be happy that you're still alive.

Just some info. The Mayan calendar did not account for leap years so we should have died long ago.

The Mayan calendar didn't have to account for leap years as they actually counted the extra 6 hours.

I don't believe the world will end, just correcting

I made the mistake of saying that on this website. I was told "they counted sun rises, so it was adjusted accordingly with leap year."
