Slender isn't even scary though...

The original Slender game is just boring and repetitive, but Haunt has to be the best horror game I've ever played. The fear of your flashlight running out, the background noises and the graphics you find in this game is fucking art. The worst thing? I had no idea what was going to happen when I got caught or even what the Slenderman looked like, which resulted in me being outright scared and paranoid. It was also exciting when I finally found the keys to the last building, the nuclear facility/concentration camp thingy. Sadly, when I got trapped at the bottom of a bunker and static started taking over my screen, I had to quit in order to keep my underwear intact.

I'll just say it straight:

I think Slender Man can be compared to a film.

He started out as a cult movie back in the 80's, a creepy and well done masterpiece that flew well under the radar. All who saw the movie loved it for it's terrifying yet subtle nature.

Now he's kind of a remake movie that had massive marketing, T-shirts, plushies, you name it. The film itself is essentially an all CGI shit flick that makes the theatre full of swag and yolo assholes scream because they had a CGI Slender come out of a closet in a well lit room yelling "oogaly boogaly boo!" And everyone says they love slender man despite the fact none of them are even aware it's a shitty remake of the original cult classic.
