Interesting, though I doubt females getting better opportunities and being further regarded as equal standing as men is the only issue or even a key one, if that writer was trying to imply that. Extreme "feminism" is annoying, but it's hardly a destroyer of civilizations. I've seen people draw all sorts of supposed connections about females, gays, and minority ethnic/racial groups factoring in the decay of civilizations. But correlation does not necessarily equal causation. For instance women working harder and becoming more involved outside the home can't take responsibility for men being more lazy and messing up their lives.

I'd largely attribute decays of civilizations as natural consequences to growing convinience/priviledge that spawns laziness which is a precursor to stuff like bad parenting and couch-potato kids to name a few. Also politics/economics that inherently become more and more convoluted. It eventually all adds up to be too much. That's my theory.
