if you need to tell people that it's a sport, it's not a sport.

cheer leading is not a sport, gymnastics is. the act described in the enclosed picture better fits Olympic gymnastics then cheer leading.

Half that text relates to stunting which is cheerleading exclusive, and the other half tumbling.

Gymnastics doesn't do any stunting. Gymnastics is more of a solo sport because its competitors never go out on the mat (bars, rings, vault, etc) with multiple team members. I've never seen girls in gymnastics pick up one another to perform stunts together.

I will consider cheer leading a sport when everyone considers paintball a sport.

Paintballing is no ordinary sport. It's classified as an extreme sport.

I think they're both sports, but hey, my favourite sport is starcraft 2 so I guess I'm a minority,

Doesn't cheerleading involve a certain degree of acrobatics?

I'm not saying it isn't a sport, but that's a terrible reason for why it's a sport...
that's like saying doing heavy lifting while renovating your home is a sport, "oh it's very difficult and physically strenuous" A sport, at least in my eyes, is an activity done for competition.
Done.

Thanks for the arrows there, Columbus. I wouldn't have been able to navigate myself to the "funny" otherwise.

Before you comment:
Look up Competitive Cheerleading. People aren't talking about the girls who cheer on football players with poms.
Basically if you believe gymnastics is a sport, you believe cheer is a sport.

I'm fairly certain that when you run out of sweat, you should just drop what you're doing immediately and find some water, rather than keep pushing forward, and if you break a one, you rest that **** until you can be 'athletic' again, nobody can be THIS dedicated to cheer-leading that they'd be willing to nearly kill themselves for it, can they?

Cheerleading is like a sport to me, I try to get as many girls as I can from different teams to sleep with me while I try to convince my friends I'm not gay for cheerleading.
