It's not the exact image of the love. It's a symbol. For instance, Severus Snape had his patronus changed to the symbol of Harry Potter's mom, Lily (Doe)

Daniel Radcliffe doesn't play drums. He just drummed with them, like tapping them against stuff like we all did with pencils in grade 5.

Remus was also the roman founder of Rome, and he was raised by a wolf.. Don't know if it had any influence on J.K. Rowlings choice of name, or if it just was random. .
User avatar #21 to #15 - lithiam (11/21/2012) [-]
it is not random my friend because in the final book when harry, Ron and Hermione are listening to the radio in the tent Remus comes on using the code name Romulus which as you know was the other brother in the tale you just mentioned

And the name Lupin is closely related to the word Lupine, meaning to be like or relating to a wolf.
User avatar #236 to #25 - lithiam (11/22/2012) [-]
lupin is also close to lupus i.e canis lupus/grey wolf

Remus= one of the founders of Rome who was raised by a wolf
Lupin= adjective form of lupus, as in canis lupus the scientific name for the grey wolf species
User avatar #125 to #12 - pokemonstheshiz (11/22/2012) [-]
and Lupine means "one who resembles a wolf" in English, because both words are based off lup(a) which is the Latin for wolf
Lupa can also mean "prostitute", which provides a conflict in the story of the founding of Rome, because Romulus and Remus were raised by "lupa", so we don't know if wolf or prostitute was intended
