I am an Engineer too, but i have no qualification whatsoever that allows me to work on cars.

I was driving a long distance trip (about 6 hours) with my mom (she was driving) when we heard a weird noise from under the car. We stopped to check it out. Turns out the entire exhaustpipe had just sort of come off, and was scraping the ground. I sat in the car while she tried to fix it. 15 minutes she comes back inside and starts driving. There's no noise. When we arrived home 3 hours later, I asked her what she had done to fix it. MFW we had driven 3 hours in a duct taped car.

TL;DR: My mom is a genious.
