DifferentOne himself was based of me.
When I was younger, I was never allowed to go outside so when I imagined stories, I was always in them. Old habits die hard I suppose, but I wanted him just be linked to me, not actually put all of myself into the character. He's braver and slimmer than I, doing that I had hopes that it would influence me to be the same, and it's working.
Later I became interested in heroes and such and I always liked swordplay, so I thought why not give him that, but he needs to be more "special". After years and years of thinking and redesigning, I finally got Different with the armor brackets he has now, trying my best to create a great yet balanced character that would take my place in the world of Aubora, or as I call it, the war grounds of my imagination.
