Some women can give birth normally, without an epidural, which is cool until there's a problem and then there's an insta-c-section. Some women who have an epidural will be cut at a 45 degree angle from the vagina outwards to allow the baby to come out. It's better to be sliced than to rip from the vagina to the anus and risk infection etc.
They have to push an average of 6-8 pound lump out of them, yes yes they do. The cervix dilates to 10 inches during birth. There are times when the woman's vulva, or vaginal opening cannot stretch enough for the baby and needs to be cut wider to allow for a vaginal birth, though at that point a c-section would be out of the question.
I'm a little ignorant as to how childbirth goes when it comes to the details. But surely that isn't how big the vagina opens?.. I mean.. You'd basically have no more vagina/bladder/etc..
I once tried to fool an aborted baby. But it wasn't born yesterday.
