I live in Las Vegas, and let me tell you. Outside of the strip and all the colorful casinos, is a terrible gang filled city. Well, at least where I live it is. I live in North Las Vegas. Or as Las Vegans call it, Nigga Side.

Las Vegas is the poster child of the stubborn nature of man.
Nothing about the location of Vegas is even remotely logical.


I find it neat that I my lifetime I very well may get to witness Las Vegas being reclaimed by the desert.

It's just nature.
Eventually they will run out of water to diverge, and without that water the city goes to ruin.

It probably would have been possible to maintain a city there had Vegas not grown so large.

It may have grown, but when I went out there this past summer I was surprised just how barren everything is out there. Just sand and rock and mountains. It's still very pretty though.
