I know plenty of black people that like metal. But they don't usually go to the concerts because it's a white fest and they feel out of place. ALTHOUGH at the Rammstein concert I went to this summer, I saw a surprising number of black people (for a metal concert) so maybe that's changing.

Some people like to collect shoes, me included, but even I know not to wear expensive shoes whenever going to a concert. They'll get ruined in some way or another.

I'm black an I've been to a few metal concerts including Download Festival earlier this year. I'd be lying if I said that the shoes business didn't annoy me but I also don't see how some people can have such (well in my opinion anyway) an overreaction to it. Pic related, it's the grass at Donington before Download started.

Only time in my entire life someones ever taken a swing at me and its cause I accidentally stepped on part of his shoe/ He was like "fuck man, these are new!". Luckily he missed and a bunch of people broke it up (im not really the fighting type). But it still bothered me for days how someone would do that, it was in the first week of school, my shoes were perfectly clean, and didn't leave any mark on his.
