Most of the square states were acquired during the Louisiana Purchase and the land was quickly divided into a relatively equal grid.

i can explain this fairly easily, 1. the list is not accurate 2. if you look at the map, its practically the same as the civil war, the south voted romney, the north voted obama, and its not coincidence, the south still hates ******* as a whole, meanwhile the entire east coast has been democratic for years, along with the fact that california has been voting democratic for the last 20 something years now

#24 to #21 - givemethesalt (11/09/2012) [-]
Well, that's pretty amazing since achromatopsia affects only 0.0003% of whole population.
#25 to #24 - givemethesalt (11/09/2012) [-]
0.00003%* my bad.
User avatar #28 to #25 - kanatana (11/09/2012) [-]
Well, SOMEONE has to be that 0.00003%, right?
#29 to #28 - givemethesalt (11/09/2012) [-]
That it is true indeed, but makes me somewhat suspicious.
User avatar #30 to #29 - kanatana (11/09/2012) [-]
Well, if I told you that my brother was a nuclear submarine technician for the US Navy, would you find that more or less believable than him being color blind?
User avatar #54 to #30 - LegititmateKyle (11/09/2012) [-]
I would find that impossible, you can't be colorblind and be a nuclear submarine technician. Or at least you couldn't while my father was in the navy, I don't know about now. Since he was pretty badly color blind, and so many things are color coordinated, they wouldn't let him do it.
#32 to #30 - givemethesalt (11/09/2012) [-]
But sir, we are on the internet.
User avatar #34 to #33 - kanatana (11/09/2012) [-]
What are the odds of that?
#35 to #34 - givemethesalt (11/09/2012) [-]
Achromatopsia is extremely rare condition and it doesn't just come alone. People with it have vision loss and photophobia. Usually when person is color blind he/she has inability to see certain color(s), but total color blindness is really rare. I'm not saying he doesn't have that condition, I'm just a bit suspicious.
