BobbyMcFerrin (10/27/2012) [-] technically that isn't an accurate representation of how much we spend on education, since the education budget is divided between state funding and federal funding. i agree that we spend too much on the military comparatively speaking but it grinds my gears when anybody tries to make a point using partial truths or blatant inaccuracies.

So anyone running for president definitely cares about America or they wouldn't be doing it. Saying that neither Romney or Obama will affect a thing is pretty silly, just my thoughts.

But if the laws he lax's or makes allow him and others like him to avoid tax's or similar it would then be worth it. As most of the money spent to attempt to get him elected comes from donations it has been speculated that wealthy members of society are trying to have a sympathetic leader of state elected which is why some people are suspicious of billionaires trying to be elected. Sorry for the bad grammar and diction I can't be bothered proof reading but I hoped this helped you to understand where the other person who stated "but you've got to spend money to make money" was meaning

He was willing to compromise with democrats as governor of Massachusetts many times and I believe that he will actually get things done... maybe not get us out of debt since we're over 16 trillion deep, but hopefully send us in the right direction. And tax cuts may actually help the small businesses to create more jobs and income.

They only make $400,000 a year (still more than I probably ever will) but seeing as Romney and Obama have both ran for two elections now and how much money it takes just to run, ads/trips/etc, both have already spent more than they would make back in a 4-8 year term. Trying to become president is the equivalent of opening a business that constantly losses profit, so all politics aside, if running for president had anything to do with Romney's personal business interests, he would shut it down.
