Is that an actual question?
User avatar #612 - candidvres **User deleted account** (10/20/2012) [-]
This site is full of self-righteous fucking idiots.

Just because you had average education doesn't mean that you're 10x better than everyone else.

God damn it, have some humility.
User avatar #617 to #612 - aulubear (10/20/2012) [-]
I think the faith comes from her being intelligent enough to not follow what everyone else has for a religion, just because she doesn't fully understand it.
User avatar #625 to #617 - candidvres **User deleted account** (10/20/2012) [-]
So she's a normal human being.

I thought everyone was like that? Everyone is an individual. Besides, what have you even lost faith about? What is bad enough that directly harms YOU? Be humble, dammit
User avatar #629 to #625 - aulubear (10/20/2012) [-]
>Everyone is an individual.

Ahahaha.. That's silly. Not quite. Individuality only happens in certain traits. No one is 100% individual.

He probably lost faith when he saw all of the general people doing stupid shit, hurting themselves for no reason, and calling their life difficult when they have more than just about erryone else.

How in the fuck were you supposed to know that

How about educate them about the errors of their ways instead of being condescending?

And that sounds rather shallow. An extremely rich person with manic depressive disorder, anxiety disorder and cancer, would you still say that he had it much better than everyone else?
User avatar #650 to #634 - aulubear (10/20/2012) [-]
Because why complain about how they live, when we can just silently say we're happy of what they're doing?

And diseases don't matter at all. If you're rich, you can handle the problems given to you.

I've got diabetes and graves disease. I barely have enough money to support my own life, but that doesn't matter. It's really easy to say 'I have problems, I should complain!'
It's more difficult to say 'I've got problems, and I don't care about them.'
User avatar #655 to #650 - candidvres **User deleted account** (10/20/2012) [-]
We're not complaining. We're helping them. We're complaining on the internet, or rather, YOU'RE complaining on the internet either way. So why not take it to them themselves?

Dude.. They still hurt. My stomach hurts all twenty-four hours. I can barely go to school because of this. This haunts me, I live in fear of that the universe is about to implode. I'm TRYING, of course, but it's really not easy. I'm pretty sure you can still live your life, at least. Even if you've got diabetes.

Yes, of course it is, and I try to too. At least in real life. As long as someone is listening on the internet, that's good, because then you can feel like someone cares. If someone asks how you're doing, why lie? I just don't lie. What kind of other grave diseases do you have then? I want to know.
User avatar #658 to #655 - aulubear (10/20/2012) [-]
:I
I'm complaining?
I thought I was explaining.

I guess we have a different view on what's what. I was just trying to make the reason for the picture clear. >.>

I never claimed you should lie, too. I'm just saying, you shouldn't actively complain. If someone asks, spill errything, because they might know what's up. Friends are important.
User avatar #663 to #658 - candidvres **User deleted account** (10/20/2012) [-]
I mean you as in you people, not you as in aulubear you.

Don't tell me that you wouldn't be sad if you had a malignant tumour which may or may not end your time on this beautiful planet. Money can't help the ones hurt by nature. Not always at least. Undeniably, they have it better than someone else, but does that invalidify their suffering? NO.

Yeah.. of course. I just go for advice sometimes, or on the hating board. Or complain to my parents, but that's a different story. They take care of me and all. I don't really need anyone to know what is up, I just need to complain sometimes because well.. I'm in an almost unfuckable situation.
User avatar #701 to #663 - aulubear (10/20/2012) [-]
Absolutely personally, I wouldn't give a crap if I were going to die. As long as my friends knew where I was going, I would be fine.

Just remember.
You can forget about your problems, and act like you're perfectly healthy.

That's what I like to do. I'm putting off getting my diabetic test strips to have a nice, normal morning.
User avatar #706 to #701 - candidvres **User deleted account** (10/20/2012) [-]
Ok, we derailed that discussion, that wasn't what I meant but whatever

Maybe you can, but I actually can't dude. I throw up almost every morning, and it drains all my energy, so it ruins my whole day. And this happens almost each day. I wake up with stomach pain, I go to bed with stomach pains. It effectively ruins my life. I can barely do anything about it.

Mhm, indeed. I try to drink tea, wear accurpressure bands and walk around but in the end I always throw up.

User avatar #686 to #609 - snickerstheif (10/20/2012) [-]
Honestly, i dont know why so many people hate on catholic schools. I go to a Catholic high school and these sort of questions never come up. They do a pretty good job of separating faith from the classrooms. Plus like have of my classmates are Atheists like me so its sick. Not trying to say catholic schools are better or anything but i still like my school.

what the fuck kind of anwer is "god" i think the best answer is big bang, even though it is not precise, i am christian and even i think this is way over the top

depts of hell for you soon
User avatar #678 to #611 - Icedangel (10/20/2012) [-]
Technically by saying a person is going to hell you are committing an even bigger sin.

It's pretty damn clear that God is the only one who can judge where you go. By saying someone has/is going to heaven/hell you are taking the roll of God on by yourself. And it's also pretty damn clear the God wants to be the only God there is.

Sooo, by saying someone is/has gone to heaven/hell you are committing a very serious form of blasphemy. :D

Pretty sure Earth was formed by a bunch of dust pulling together and forming a planet or something like that. The big bang theory applies to the universe, not Earth specifically. Solid effort on this kid's part though.
User avatar #601 to #599 - sasyboncho (10/20/2012) [-]
Right, but the dust pulled it together FROM the Big Bang.
#631 to #601 - mangoskatertwo (10/20/2012) [-]
That is kind of true. Our solar system's sun is thought to be a 3rd generation sun. meaning the elements that formed the sun and later the bodies that orbit it. Was dust left over by a star that exploded. that star was thought to have been made of yet another. That's along way to trace back. From time just after the big bang to now. The Earth and its solar system were formed by random chance and really can't credit the big bang for its creation. seeing how it was entirely possible for us to have never been formed and the universe would still be going on without us.
User avatar #633 to #631 - sasyboncho (10/20/2012) [-]
Which wouldn't be a bad thing..
#646 to #633 - mangoskatertwo (10/20/2012) [-]
Indeed. But regardless of how dumb our race can be. Space is still amazing! That's why I'm glad we are here. I can't wait to see what crazy things we discover and what things we thought we knew get proven wrong.

I created my son, but he created the game.
#613 to #610 - sasyboncho (10/20/2012) [-]
The Big Bang should take credit for your son's game.

Like, "Weren't you supposed to go to the dentist?"
"No? Why?"
"Ah, nevermind, must have missunderstood."

User avatar #608 to #601 - Afki (10/20/2012) [-]
True, but I was being critical of the kid's answer because it's right, but not right enough. The big bang didn't create the Earth, it just set the potential for Earth to be created in motion.
User avatar #615 to #608 - sasyboncho (10/20/2012) [-]
Right, that's what I was really trying to say. The Big Bang kind of "sponsored" the Earth, the same way Nike sponsors athletes.

The fuck? clearly whoever wrote this or made this post has no clue what geography is...

It's not about when the earth was created, or how is was created, it's the study of earth and the places and country's within it.
It's the location of countries and continents, and latitude and longitude
User avatar #576 to #573 - Bion (10/20/2012) [-]
This would be an "Earth Science" test. Or at least that is what it was called in my school. Dunno if there's a more appropriate term for it.
User avatar #580 to #576 - thunderstriker (10/20/2012) [-]
Yea, I'm just saying they clearly wrote geography on there, and it looks pretty fake

The only way a school would ever be able to write and ask such religious questions is if it was a private school with a heavy focus on religion in which case they would have to expect their kids to answer such idiot questions on tests
User avatar #585 to #580 - Bion (10/20/2012) [-]
Oh, I know. But the amount of those kinds of schools are far too numerous.

Something funny to watch is asking a person from a school like that "What is an indulgence?"

Instead of using actual teaching methods, explaining why things are, etc, they just say "this is how it is" and leave out every single little bad detail in the history of the church.

Dated a girl from an extremely strict private school, long ago, lol. So I heard a lot about it. I'm pretty sure that she turned against her beliefs, soon after we broke up, though. Thank "God".
User avatar #569 - lolmonade (10/20/2012) [-]
Probably fake
No way there will be a question like this on a test.
There is no proof of god. and fail some one for not believing in god is stupid

Most leading experts in the field of the creation of the universe now think that the Big Bang Theory is wrong, and are working on more likely theories such as universal inflation and the possibility that our universe was formed from the collapse of another. These people include Sir Roger Penrose who so strongly supported the Big Bang Theory for most of his career.

Also, just FYI, the Big Bang Theory was originally proposed by Georges Lemaître who was a Belgian Roman Catholic priest, so stop with the bullshit that the Big Bang Theory and God cannot coexist.
