That's exactly why I haven't started watching it.
I felt like that towards the end of Code Geass and Death Note, and they weren't even half the length of One-Piece combined.
It's kind of hard to get back into One-Piece though, I ended off when it aired on Adult Swim (right after Luffy defeated Arlong) and it seems ... so fucking silly. Like they're poking fun at anime in general.

When it was over I never knew what to do with myself
but then I remembered all of my ambitions and dreams, I was wasting away
So I decided to start working harder, to put in effort and move towards those dreams
And I can still drown myself in all those things when I rest
I'm still working on it, but hopefully I'll start being more productive without sacrificing the things I enjoy
I think everyone would be more happy, more fulfilled and more successful if they lived this way
