They actually use the sticks as a way to push the rice into their mouth while they hold the bowl.
Chopsticks are supposed to be more classy as spoons and forks resembles farming tools.
In Asia you walk in any store and at the cutlery isle all the packages include 1 set of chopsticks and 1 spoon. What you can't do with chopsticks, you do with spoons.
Nevertheless eating rice with chopsticks is child's play, as the rice is sticky, not that shit that white's/blackies cook in Europe/'Merica.
Also, chopsticks are far more flexible in the ways you can use them, MUCH more than a fork can be. Those of you who don't know this, are the ones who haven't actually used chopsticks as your main eating utensil.

Your argument was vaild until the part where you said "white's/blackies" and the part where you said "So that the inbreeds like you can continue living in your hillbilly shack with your hillbilly parents?" in comment 63. Get the fuck out, you aren't helping.
I sometimes think about what a shame it is that I don't like Chinese food, sushi, or anything else that you'd eat with chopsticks.
Because I'm really good at using chopsticks.

Kind of ingenious, considering european culture must have taken hundreds of years to develop solidly reliable cutlery, but they just find two well rounded twigs and a funky hand technique and bam, you've got your cutlery.
Cutlery was actually invented to NOT touch the food with dirty hands and, that way, save water. So I guess, making two small wood sticks was faster and easier then making a fork
Confucius popularized the chopsticks, he said it was improper to use the same tools to eat that you use to fight.

From what you just wrote, either spoons are used instead of rice, or they eat knives with scissors and forks with chopsticks.
I would like to think that this is what you actually meant, since South Korea would be a bit cooler then. It would also give a whole new meaning to eating utensils.
Pic is eating knives.

Maybe, but its in an area that is full of Koreans and it even has street vendors outside like the shows... can't say I've had "authentic" Korean food in any case because
A) Haven't dated a Korean guy so his mom hasn't cooked for me
B) Haven't been to Korea so I cant eat there.
That being said, I think I can just watch the shows and eat whatever is offered up as Korean food. Its the next best thing.
Kim-Jong-Un needs to have a nice chat with jenny craig.

They were picked because they were difficult to use, and forced the user to have to eat the food slowly, and savoring the food. Whilst a spoon is very easy to use and lets you just shovel the food into your mouth.

they were picked because it is very easy to make them. I mean 2 sticks...srsly.
And the don't take the rice on the chopsticks and eat it. They eat out of bowls and shove the rice with the chopsticks inside their mouth. Has nothing to do with Confucius. They used chopsticks before Confucius Grandmother was born and before hers was born too.
Srry for the bad English. It's not my nativs language.
