Are you kidding me?

Soldiers have the best ******* job, ever, period.

They get to look bad-ass, blow **** up, and shoot at people.

This isn't the 40s where people get drafted into the military, people go into it with full knowledge of the sacrifice. That's what makes them real heroes. No amount of money could ever take away their bravery and courage...or their bad-ass(ness).

Because shooting people will be just as fun as in video games.

true that. joined the reserves, when my family asks me what its like to serve the country I tell them it feels a lot like being paid to shoot an c7 rifle at a firing range.

not yet, I need to be in for over 2 years before im allowed to volunteer for a peacekeeping role. ive only been in for a few months now. Im excited to do it though, people like romeo dellaire who tried stopping genocides and such are very inspirational and its why I signed up. but so far the job is just plain awesome. 1 billion times better then working at mcdonalds or something thats for sure.

although I have to admit my opinion would be a lot different if I get forced to do a tour against my will

You have a very skewed vision of how it is like to fight in the military. I'd suggest cutting down on the Talmudvision's military-industrial complex propaganda.

I have four cousins that all just got back from tours, my dad is in the military, his dad, (etc.). I'm working on my first tour.

I could go further in and say that two of 'em are married and their wives have a military career, my aunt also does, my step-dad, best friend, many other friends. All of which have served tours.

People don't get money on how hard they work anymore.

Because what you "deserve" isn't about how many hours you put in, it's about other factors you contribute as well (risk, innovation, capital, responsibility etc.), most of which nobody on this website has any concept of.

P.S. Anyone who thinks that people get what they "deserve" is a moron, as are the people who think they or the government or whoever should enforce people getting the salaries they "deserve" rather than the ones that they get as a result of voluntary economic decisions by themselves, their employers and the consumers.

OPs content was saying about how Wall Street bankers are overpaid and they think that because they work long, they deserve it, and OP was saying that soldiers (who work for way longer than that, and have so many risks like you said) are underpaid and deserve the bankers wages more than they do

Officers go to college as O-1 to O-2. Then at O-3, they finally can obtain their masters.
Senior NCO's also attend college. People in reserves also attend college.

Yes, because being a leach with a fancy degree in leachery, working in an office with air conditioning and helping the rich get richer (quite often at the expense of the poor/middle class) makes them so deserving of huge paychecks.

Wake up and smell the ******** man.

People still think human life is more important than money?
They still think governments give a damn if their soldiers live or die for selfish reasons?

To that mans family he is worth the world. but to his "employer" he is worth nothing.

Alright, I hate to bring logic into this, but does anyone here seriously think the government has the money to pay soldiers the amount Wall St. guys get?
and the Wall St. guys get there pay based on standards and sucessfulness (not a word, but couldn't come up with a real one)

It isn't because they work 16-hour days, it's because they make other people millions, if not billions, of dollars every year.
