I don't think Anne was a good choice for Catwoman. Don't get me wrong, she's really beautiful, but I don't think she was able to play the sly and seductive part of the role. To me, she just doesn't have that sass that should have been there, and has always been there for past actresses that played Catwoman.

The ultra-sexy version of Catwoman is more appropriate for the traditional version of her, but I feel the Chris Nolan interpretation called for a person exactly like Anne Hathaway: More serious, still very beautiful, but with more nuances and personality than the original.
