oh great, not these stupid immature and un-smart jokes about Republlicans again. Seriously I don't mind funny jokes about candidates, but seriously make them funny. I always hated the stupid Bush jokes, I only laughed at the ones that made sense. Come one people make jokes that aren't just made out of pure hatred.

The only reason I want Obama to win is his NCAA March Madness Brackets.

If Mitt wins, hope to god he does those.

I don't understand how America has come down to this. They are both poor choices for presidency. Ron Paul was the obvious choice but apparently stupidity is a contagious cancer right now due to pleasures of ignorant bliss. It is not the political system or the candidates that are the problem...

It's the voters.

I weep for America. I weep for the day our selfishness and gluttony will become the ruin of this once great nation founded on the blood of the courageous and morally sound.

Eh, Ron Paul wasn't the best candidate. Although I understand his patriotic views on why he wanted to abolish the Federal Reserve, but it would just destroy the economy. The Federal Reserve is responsible for finding trends in the economy and injecting money and withdrawing it from the money market in order to keep the economy stable. Not to mention the fact that the Federal Reserve acts completely separate from the government anyway.
#1430 to #1374 - hydraetis (09/21/2012) [-]
That may be the idea of what it's supposed to do but when it comes down to it in reality all it's doing is just sucking in money and doing nothing with it.
User avatar #1420 to #1374 - teutoburg (09/21/2012) [-]
the problem is that a private bank has complete control over the US economy, besides the US operated perfectly okay without the fed until the early 1900s. The entire point of having a third party institution was so congress couldn't over inflate the economy and look what the fed is doing now.
User avatar #1576 to #1420 - gisteve **User deleted account** (09/21/2012) [-]
Yea but the fact that the market was 100% free is what led to the great depression. The market boomed fast furiously in the early 1900's, and although I can't really explain it, but when a market expands too fast it becomes unstable and collapses on itself, which is why checks and balances like the Federal Reserve are put in place in order to prevent us from growing too fast and going into the great depression
User avatar #1608 to #1576 - teutoburg (09/22/2012) [-]
considering it was started in 1911 it sure did a great job stopping that. Boom and bust economies are bad, but we don't need a private company to regulate it there is no reason that a government agency or a congressional committee couldn't run it just as or more effectively. The only thing that I hate more than expansion of government is government integration with private business.

I agree entirely, i shutter to think what the candidates will be 4 years from now, or 8, 12 even 16 if we make it that far.
