The book "The Salmon of Doubt", a biographic journey of Douglas Adams life, written after his death, has seven introductions just for the purpose of setting a record for the most introductions before the actual book starts.... I know the content is about having NO intro, but the footnote made me think of it...
I already recommend his works to anyone who hasn't read them. I absolutely love his writing style. I'll be sure to look out for his other works next time I'm in a book store.
Thanks for the information.
I found a handmade journal at a Renaissance Festival that said "Don't Panic" and was tempted to buy it, despite having no need for it.

Well, I dunno what the books name is, but if youre looking for a funny book with lots of footnotes (clever and funny ones) I got a book for you :P Though, its only in norwegain so I suppose that might get you some troubble. Anyways, it's called "De fire og han som gjør galt værre, basicly it means the four and the guy who make bad worse. :P
